Eddy Ming was born in East Timor and raised in Portugal before moving to Sydney to establish a career in photography. Today he lives and works in New York City.
With such diverse homes, Eddy has always struggled with the language of words, speaking through accumulated layers of dialects and accents. He quickly learned to speak with images instead, falling in love with art and fashion—worlds where you can look with your heart and communicate by showing.
Eddy has contributed to numerous publications, including Australian Harper’s Bazaar, Australian Marie Claire, GQ US, Oyster, Dansk. His advertising clients include Akira, Levis, Nude by Nature, Telstra, Peter Stuyvesant, Virgin Australia, and MTV.
